You can over up to 8 people in one policy.

Is there a way to reduce or cancel my excess?

No, unfortunately you cannot cancel your excess but you can lower your premium by slightly increasing your excess.

Are kids covered for free?

Yes, kids under the age of 21 get free cover, on the condition that they’re accompanied by a parent or grandparent on the journey, and are unemployed.

Are cruises covered?

Yes! Just keep in mind that you have to select ‘Pacific’ when choosing your destination, even if the cruise is going to be on Australian waters.

What additional extras can I look forward to on my cover?

Well, you can increase the cover for single items in your luggage to $4,500 per item, or up to $8,000 for multiple items.

Will I still be covered if my tour company goes under?

No, Medibank doesn’t cover expenses that are caused by the financial insolvency of a tour operator or accommodation provider.

How long is a single-cover policy valid for?

The single-cover policy is valid for 12 months.
