Is there an age limit for purchasing a Kogan travel insurance policy?

Yes, their policies are only available to travellers under the age of 79 years.

Are kids really covered for free?

Yes. Kids under the age of 21 get free cover, granted that they’re unemployed at the time of the trip, and will be accompanied by a parent or grandparent during the journey.

Does the policy cover pre-existing medical conditions?

Yes, Kogan travel insurance covers many pre-existing medical conditions including acne, cataracts, diabetes, sleep apnea, osteoporosis and hypertension to name but a few.

Is the cover available to non-Australian residents?

No, unfortunately the cover is only available to permanent Australian residents.

Will I be covered for overseas medical costs due to unexpected illness?

If the treatment you received costs less than $1,000, Kogan will reimburse you for the expense, however, you’ll have to provide receipts of the treatment costs upon return as proof.

Is there a way to reduce or remove my excess?

Yes, you can remove the excess by paying extra on your premium.
