I am sharing here my recent experience with Aami. I have long been dreaming of visiting Germany; it was my dream destination. Two months ago, I purchased an airline ticket and booked hotel accommodation in Berlin. I was pursuing my dream. I already drafted my itinerary in Berlin, and each day, I looked forward to spending my morning there. A month ago, coronavirus broke out in Italy, and my mom made me reconsider my trip since Germany was relatively close to Italy. I was very much eager to go despite the warning. Two weeks later, cases of such disease rose, and it frightened me. With my anxiety, I asked Aami to help me cancel and refund my prepaid expenses for this trip. They refused at first because it was too soon to cancel. But after explaining to them the implications of my journey, they gladly approved. They told me to ask the refund from the agencies where I made the reservation so that I could move the applicability of the travel insurance I brought from them. I appreciated that suggestion well because it helped me manage my finances as well...Read More

I lost my credit cards when I was in Amsterdam. I was in their public transportation when it happened. Before the banks that issued it blocked the stolen cards, the thief had already purchased items. Along with the credit cards was my passport. Hence I could not fly home. I contacted Aami and asked for help. I told them what happened, and submitted to them a written report of what happened. The police duly noted this report in the area. Aami immediately reached out to the issuer of the passport to inform them about what to me. Regarding my other belongings, such as credit cards, they also reached the bank and negotiated for a reversal. Thankfully, the bank agreed because a third-party was involved in attesting. If not for Aami, I would not have known what to do next because I was traumatized by what happened to me. Thank you, and a good job, Aami...Read More

Aami’s cancellation policy is very comprehensive. When my trip got canceled because of an organized labor strike that closed a road in Jakarta, I called Aami and asked if they could give me accommodation. They said that my travel insurance plan covered this and that I could claim it after my return to Australia. I was also able to claim the travel agent’s cancellation fee because of what happened. They also made me rebook my flight for free, with my airline of choice. I filed everything online, which was convenient. I continued the process in Australia, but, to my surprise, they released the total refund ten business days after our last engagement. Their representative also seemed to be oriented with customer service because he kept on asking if I had anything else in mind. I would recommend Aami to my colleagues and would still get a package from them on my next trip...Read More

Our family usually travels. During our last trip, my husband and I went with my son, Lucas, to Tokyo to visit famous places like the Tokyo Tower and dine at places Ichiran. Lucas was only 17 years at that time. Something happened. We brought my husband to the hospital because of the discomfort that he felt. We canceled other plans like visiting Osaka, even if we purchased airline tickets and hotel accommodation for it. I checked with Aami my options, and they told me the steps that I needed to take. I was also required to comply with the required documents. They also helped me find their partner hospital in Japan. I told them that I was with my son, Lucas, who was only 17 years old. They gladly offered me the child care support, and that I did not have to pay anything besides because the plan that we bought was comprehensive. I thanked them enough for helping me in that hard situation...Read More

My luggage got maliciously damaged upon my return from Vietnam. I immediately reported it to the airport officials and sought for damage claims from Aami. They asked if I did take care of my luggage and that the damage was not there before. Thankfully, I got some photos of my bags. I know it is weird, but I am the person who often doubts about and always thinks anything can happen. So I regularly take photos of luggage before heading out and even before dropping it in any check-in counter. I submitted this to Aami as further proof that everything was okay before it arrived in Australia. It took time before Aami approved the damage claim request. Six business days after I applied, I made a follow-through and asked one of their representatives the status. She said it was still for approval. Two days after, the refund was released. Somehow I could say that they were efficient despite their usual strictness...Read More

I woke up on the wrong side of the bed one day on one of my trips. I visited Boracay late last year to spend some time with my fiancée. It was both our first time in the Philippines and especially in Boracay. I got food poisoned. I was rushed to the hospital to seek medical attention. My fiancée contacted our Aami since we got ourselves travel insurance. They asked for my current status and offered to find a medical facility for me within the area, to which we refused because we were already in the hospital. They also assured my fiancé that they were going to make a direct payment of hospital bills on our behalf to the hospital where I was. It was convenient and, at the same time, helping me. I appreciated that service of Aami because it was all just my fiancé. Thank you that you were with us in that trying time...Read More

Excess is an amount of money charged if you make a claim with an individual provider. Keep in mind that excess is charged per event.
In most cases the policy is per person, depending on how many people you include in your quote.
No age limit
Multi trip age limit Under 65
Multi trip duration 90 days
